Deepa Paranjpe is a seasoned leader in growth engineering and innovation at Warner Bros Discovery (WBD), where her team focuses on using technology to retain customers and minimize churn. She joined Discovery in early 2022 and played a key role in developing the data and ML strategy for the company’s merger with Warner Bros, which includes brands such as HBO, CNN, Cartoon Network, Food Network, HGTV, and others. With over two decades of experience at leading technology companies such as Google, Amazon, Yahoo, IBM, and Motorola, Deepa is passionate about leveraging ML and AI to drive automation and growth for businesses.
Before joining WBD, Deepa spent nearly a decade at Google and held a diverse range of strategic positions, including ML research, ads, YouTube, and Search. She started her career as a research scientist at IBM Research and Yahoo! Labs, and holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from IIT Bombay. In addition to her professional pursuits, Deepa is an active member of the Women in Tech community and is dedicated to mentoring and supporting women who are beginning their careers in technology.
